We are delighted to announce that Vision Internet has been selected as a GovTech100 Company for 2016, including the company in a list of 100 leading organizations focused on government as a customer, having developed an innovative or disruptive offering to improve or transform government.

Sponsored by Government Technology, an award-winning publication featuring technology's role in state and local governments, together with e.Republic Labs, a smart media and research company focused exclusively on public-sector innovation for local government, the inaugural GovTech100 list reflects hundreds of hours of work to identify, verify and qualify companies using publicly available information, media reports and interviews with parties familiar with the market.

In its announcement, GovTech noted the selected companies offer new capabilities and capacity to help government perform in the face of rising expectations of residents, shaped by their experience in the wider marketplace, with companies such as Amazon, Uber and Apple.

“In the past five years customer’s expectations in the digital world have grown dramatically.  They want to find clear, understandable answers to their questions quickly at any time and on the device of their choice,” said David Nachman, CEO of Vision. “This recognition from GovTech speaks to Vision’s continuing effort to transform the resident-customer experience through innovative technology and service.”

The companies in the GovTech100 listing are active in one or more market segments: administrative, service delivery, intelligent infrastructure and civic tech focus areas. Vision was one of 29 companies recognized in the Service Delivery segment:

The GovTech100 list is recognition that the public-sector technology market has evolved to be both broad and robust – with civic tech spending estimated at $6.4 billion for fiscal year 2015 according to a study by IDC Government Insights.
