Your internal staff may know about the launch of a new website, but does your community? How will you communicate the improved navigation, new citizen tools, or brand new look of your site to your community?

Get some ideas and take a look at the new website introduction videos that the cities of Yonkers, NY, San Angelo, TX and Santa Clara, CA created to inform their communities about their new website launches.

Yonkers, New York

City of Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano announced the launch of the city’s newly rebranded website in a video that was posted right on the homepage. In the video, he gives an overview of the new user-friendly and interactive features such as responsive design, live video streaming, and e-notification sign-up.

San Angelo, Texas

The City of San Angelo, TX used one of their City in 60 videos to explain the new buttons on their website and created a short video advertising all of the many things a resident can do on the new website, including adopt a pet, pay for utility bills, check out local parks, and more.

Santa Clara, CA

Using their homepage image rotation, the City of Santa Clara, CA announced their new Learn about the Website page on their site entirely devoted to educate visitors and residents on the new features of the site. They also created a video tour, detailing changes in the navigation menus, popular links that have been turned into homepage buttons, and more!
