The City of Sandpoint, Idaho just launched their new Vision website. Sandpoint, officially incorporated in 1898, lies on the shores of 43-mile-long Lake Pend Oreille and is surrounded by three major moutain ranges, the Selkirk, Cabinet and Bitterroot ranges. Schweitzer Mountain Resort, the largest ski resort in Idaho, opened in 1963 and turned the area into a year-round destination location.

The new design reflects Sandpoint’s positioning as a tourism and economic center in northern Idaho. Not only does the new website take an open feeling that places important information at users' fingertips, it also showcases the natural awesomeness of Sandpoint as a community.
The rotating homepage images are scenes that highlight the beauty of Sandpoint and were provided by local photographers. In 2011, Sandpoint was named the nation's "Most Beautiful Small Town" by Rand McNally and USA Today. Based on the images on their new website, this is a well-deserved honor.
