We are pleased to announce that two Vision Internet customers received Pinnacle Awards at the National Association of Government Web Professionals (NAGW) annual conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico last week. The City of West Hollywood, California won a Members’ Choice award in the Small Population category, and the City of Longmont, Colorado won both the Pinnacle Award and the Members Choice Award for the Medium-Low Population category.
West Hollywood, CA and Longmont, CO Win Accolades
This is the thirteenth annual NAGW conference, and one of the key highlights each year is the presentation of the Pinnacle Awards which recognize outstanding websites in the local government space. The Pinnacle Awards are judged by a group of web professionals from inside and outside of government web development, and are awarded in five categories:
- City/County Small Population Group (less than 50,000 residents)
- City/County Medium Population Group (between 50,000 and 150,000 residents)
- City/County High Population Group (150,000 residents and greater)
- State/NGO (non-governmental organization)
- Microsite/Special Site Feature
In each category, two awards are granted – the Pinnacle Award and the Members’ Choice Award. The Pinnacle Award is given to the organization based on the highest average judge’s score and the Members’ Choice award is given based on voting by the NAGW membership. The scoring criteria includes team size, content, organization, design performance and flexibility, accessibility, standards and interactivity.
Congratulations to both Longmont and West Hollywood on your well-deserved awards!
